Generate - NeuroDotVr

Generate is a Student run product development club at Northeastern University connecting engineering students with clients to develop prototypes and help bring products for market. As a member of the Build studio, I worked with a team of engineering students to commercialize a headset for optometrists to diagnose eye conditions and diseases like glaucoma.

From September - December 2017 I reverse engineered the Google Daydream and developed a cad model that we could adapt to our needs.

Assembly of CAD model I developed based on the specifications of the Google Daydream.

Outer Headset

The Outer headset had two major design constraints

  • Fit the lens insert snugly.

  • Fit the face cushion that came with Google’s headset.

Lens Insert

The Lens Insert had  Design Constraints

  • It needed to fit inside the assembly snugly.

  • All of the dimensions dictating the position of the lenses had to be consistent with the Google Daydream.
